Top Five DIY jobs to do for Spring/Summer

Now that the harsh weather has largely gone away, Christmas has been and gone, its time to start thinking DIY.

This handy list may help you get started as we reveal our top five DIY jobs

Number one is decorating, adding new carpets, Curtains or Blinds. Recent figures suggest that up to 30% of us are planning to do this as a way to spruce up our homes in time for Summer.

The Next Big DIY job is to paint your home, either completely or just redo some of the rooms.

Next on the list comes installing and updating bathrooms and Kitchens, either replacing them entirely or just replacing doors or tiles.

Two other big expenditures are updating or replacing your windows and heating system

The last areas are looking at revamping your conservatory and making sure your roof is sound for the following winter.

Which ever of these you choose to do, you can expect to budget about 10% of your monthly income to get the look you need. There will be many jobs on this list that you can save money on by doing it yourself, but for larger projects such as Bathrooms and kitchens you have to budget more for tradesmen.

DIY should be safe, if you are in any doubt about how to carry out any DIY tasks safely please get in touch with a qualified tradesman.
